About the Role
As a DJ coach in Drum 'N' Bass music, your primary task is to create content and a high-quality course where the student feels comfortable and confident.
Here are the guidelines to be followed for the assignment:
1.- The course you would be teaching is in a pre-recorded format.
2.- The target audience is people aged 18 and older—just so you keep that in mind.
3.- The course must have Spanish or English subtitles (It doesn't matter if you are a Spanish speaker or bilingual.)
4.- You must be precise and concise, with a strong aptitude for teaching.
5.- Each course will include downloadable resources—among other materials—which must be updated every 15 days or once a month.
(Each course or contract will have a duration of three months.)
Requirements
Technical and Theoretical Skills:
Your ear and your sense of rhythm are your primary tools. You must teach the key concepts that distinguish an amateur from a professional.
Beatmatching:
Manually synchronizing the tempos and phases of two songs so they play at the same rhythm before making the transition.
Musical structure and phrasing:
Understanding how songs are composed (intros, choruses, sections) in order to execute mixes at the right moments and ensure smooth transitions.
Equalization (EQ):
Control low (bass), mid, and high (treble) frequencies to prevent distortion or saturation when layering tracks.
Other knowledge or skills:
Speak english and spanish (Level B2 or C1)
Possess extensive knowledge of electronic music—specifically techno and its subgenres.
To have a passion and calling for teaching and sharing knowledge with people of all ages.
